Easily one of the best films of all time. Even after four more Pirates movies this is still the superior entree in my opinion. I doubt there will ever be a more iconic role than Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in this movie and he should've won that Oscar! The plot, acting, CGI, character introductions, and cinematography in this film are far superior than any other film in the franchise. It has a great villain with Barbossa and perfectly balanced character developments along with entertaining parallels. This is one of those movies that's so perfect there is only one small plot hole in the third act regarding the Aztec gold. In all a truly PHENOMENAL movie with everything you want. 9.9/10 film!
